The National Student Nurses’ Association, Inc., (NSNA) has named Deputy Executive Director Kenya D. Williams to succeed Diane J. Mancino, EdD, RN, CAE, FAAN, as Executive Director, effective August 1, 2023.
Williams will manage and direct all operations, programs, activities, and affairs of NSNA, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. She also will serve as Executive Director of the Foundation of the NSNA.
Founded in 1952, NSNA is a nonprofit organization for students enrolled in associate, baccalaureate, diploma, and generic graduate nursing programs, serving 60,000 members in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
NSNA’s search for the new Executive Director was led by Jill Christie, President, Tuft & Associates.
In her previous positions at NSNA, Williams also served as Director, Governance and Policy. She also was Director, Cardiology and Respiratory Care Services, BJC Healthcare, Barnes Jewish (BJC) St. Peter’s Hospital. A Certified Association Executive (CAE), Williams earned her EdD from Creighton University and her MSN from the University of Virginia.
