Mark Theis is the new Chief Executive Officer for The Aesthetic Society (American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and The Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF), Garden Grove, CA.
As CEO, Theis will oversee all organizational areas and foster industry partnerships to strengthen the organization’s leadership role in aesthetic plastic surgery. Theis succeeds long-time Executive Director Sue M. Dykema, CAE.
Most recently, Theis was Vice President, Sales & Marketing, for Proper Hospitality, Los Angeles. His career experience includes leading strategy development, marketing and sales, and operations for two major international hotel chains, Hyatt and Marriott. Theis also held senior executive leadership positions for the Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago Convention Bureaus.
The Aesthetic Society’s national CEO search was led by Jill Christie, President.
