New CAFP EVP-CEO

Lisa Folberg, MPP, is the new Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the California Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP). She succeeds EVP Susan Hogeland, CAE, who is retiring from the Academy on September 30 after 27 years.

Folberg has 18 years of experience in government relations, management, health policy, and program development. Most recently, she served as the President and CEO of the California Medical Association Foundation (now known as Physicians for a Healthy California), where she helped to build the Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations. Previously, at the California Medical Association, she was Vice President, Medical and Regulatory Policy (2009-2014,) and Associate Director, Government Relations (2005-2009).

The CAFP EVP-CEO search was led by Tuft consultants Dr. Kathy Henrichs and Nancy Gray Puckett.
