Executive Director, Oak Park Education Foundation
Latonia Baker became the Executive Director of the Oak Park Educational Foundation (OPEF) in February 2022.
She joined OPEF in 2020 as Programs Director. supervising operations of year-round STEAM education programming for K-8th grade students in District 97 schools. Following a comprehensive national search, she was named the Foundation’s Executive Director.
Baker has more than 18 years of professional experience in education programs and operations. Before joining OPEF, she served as a Regional Operations Manager for iD Tech Camps where she managed a variety of STEAM programs for children ages 7 – 18. Previously, Baker served as an adjunct professor at the American Academy of Art teaching and creating curriculum for the Visual Studies department. She also ran a digital design firm that focused on creating 3D computer models and graphics for architecture and construction businesses.
Baker is a Harvard graduate with an MA in Architecture, Urban Design concentration. She earned a BA in Architecture & Art History from Wellesley College.
