Executive Director, Arthroscopy Association of North America
Laura M. Downes, CAE, is the Executive Director of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. As the chief administrative officer of the AANA, Downes leads implementation of the organization’s Board-approved strategic plan and budget, and manages AANA’s staff and the organization’s plans, programs, and objectives.
Previously, Downes was chief operating officer of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, Chicago.
The Arthroscopy Association of North America serves approximately 3,800 physician members and leads the dissemination of knowledge about arthroscopic surgery to improve upon the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. AANA is the nation’s largest orthopaedic sub-specialty society.
