Chair of the Nursing Program, Berea College

Monica Kennison, EdD, MSN, RN, became Susan V. Clayton Chair of Nursing and Professor at Berea College in 2014. Kennison has led curriculum changes and is directing the program’s move to a new, state-of-the-art facilities on campus. Under her leadership, the nursing program is exceeding required outcome measures for NCLEX-RN pass rates, employment rates, and graduation rates.

Kennison has nearly 40 years of experience in nursing education including serving as Chairperson of the Nursing Department and Professor, Wheeling Jesuit University; Dean of Nursing, Community College of Allegheny County; and Chairperson, Health Sciences Department, and Professor, West Liberty University.
