CEO, Society of Gynecologic Oncology
Pierre M. Désy, MPH, CAE, has been Chief Executive Officer of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) and its Foundation for Women’s Cancer since 2016.
As chief staff executive, Désy is responsible for management of the SGO, the Foundation, and its staff. Reporting to the Board of Directors of both organizations, he provides strategic leadership and has fiscal, program, and administration responsibility.
Chicago-based SGO is a national medical specialty organization of physicians and allied healthcare professionals who are trained in the comprehensive management of women with malignancies of the reproductive tract. The Foundation for Women’s Cancer is a nonprofit organization working to end women’s cancer by advancing research, education and awareness in partnership with the SGO.
Désy has more than 15 years of senior executive experience in the field of association management. Previously, he was Executive Director at the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and the former Chief Development Officer at the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA).
