Dean and Professor, Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing

Shelley F. Conroy, EdD, MS, RN, CNE, has been Dean and Tenured Professor, Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing, Dallas, since January 2012. Conroy has more than 40 years of experience in higher education and healthcare administration, and nursing and healthcare research.

Since joining Baylor, Conroy has completed a two-year term as the Inaugural Dean for the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences, providing leadership for the creation and direction of the newly created college. As Dean of the School of Nursing, Conroy has created a strategic plan and vision and directed the successful initial accreditation for the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program and implemented the new online Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Innovation program.

Established in 1909, the mission of the Louise Herrington School of Nursing of Baylor University is to prepare baccalaureate and graduate level nurses, within a Christian community, for professional practice, healthcare leadership, and worldwide service.
