Jill Rubiner Christie has more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience as an executive search consultant and executive director.

 

A Tuft associate for eight years before being named President in 2013, Jill has delivered exceptional professional talent to clients across the country. She has been the lead consultant for dozens of searches across all sectors, ranging from small, local organizations, nonprofit foundations, and leading academic centers to complex national and international organizations.

 

As president, Jill advances the Tuft tradition of superior quality, ensuring that every search is tailored to the individual client’s strategic goals and wholly focused on making the right fit for the organization.

 

NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT

Prior to joining Tuft & Associates, Jill spent her career in nonprofits, including 10 years leading an organization that supports underserved children in Chicago.

 

In addition to bringing a unique understanding of the needs of nonprofits at the local level, Jill has association management experience at the national level. She spent five years in professional staff roles at the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, gaining firsthand insight into the complexities of professional membership organizations.

 

PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP

Jill is active in the National Network of Nonprofit Search Consultants, currently serving as co-chair of the program committee. She continues the leadership role of Tuft & Associates as a founding member of the network, which is dedicated to excellence in the nonprofit search sector. The NNSC is a professional organization for leading nonprofit search consultants in the United States and Canada.

 

Jill currently serves on the Advisory Board of Tutoring Chicago. She also is an active volunteer in school and community activities in her hometown of Oak Park, Illinois.

 

EDUCATION

Jill graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She received a Masters of Arts in Sociology from DePaul University in Chicago.
